Mountain Biking

Tom has been riding Mountain Bikes for 6 years, in 1997 he collected 47 national points giving him a National rating of 87th. With a world ranking of 230 out of 25000+ he was selected for the Canadian Olympic Training team.

After reaching the Olympic team Tom was looking for many National wins in 1998. Tom received a 2nd at Checkingdon race course and a 3rd at Wallstone. Tom had 14 national points when disaster struck. Tom was hit by a car fracturing his arm, Tom was unable to ride his bike for 3 months. After the crash Tom had a operation on his liver, causing another 4 months off his bike.

Its 1999 and Tom's back. Tom bought a new bike a Team Proflex Beast full of XTR, XT and Spin Wheels costing £2300. It worked, at the first race of the season he received 4th out of 83. What's next?
